Our thoughts continue to go out to all affected by the pandemic of Covid-19, especially those who have been bereaved, those who are vulnerable and those who have found themselves out of work. The last group includes almost everyone who works in the performing arts. It also includes those who train for theatre and dance, whose training and practice is founded on physical presence with other artists-in-the-making and whose study has been stopped or greatly modified.
Setting up the programme of the Kalamata International Summer School 2021, we are mindful of the current internationally adopted measures to prevent the spread of the virus
In August, KaDISS shall resume its full programme of classes at international level for new actors and performers-in-training and continue to contribute to the cultural and educational activities of Kalamata and the region.
Like everyone else, we trust that the vaccine will soon reach the whole population and make a real difference to daily life.
KaDISS team fully respects the decrees of and collaborates with the competent ministries and the Corona Virus office of the Municipality of Kalamata. We shall be following all prescribed hygiene measures and protocols in order to ensure the health of the participants (everyday sterilization of the facilities, brunch served in a separate package for each person etc).
